Check and Record Suction and discharge pressures, Motor voltage and current water flow rate 2. Check: gland leakage, Motor temperature by feeling with hand 3. Inspect for undue noise or vibration and any evidence of water leakage Weekly Routine Work 1. Operate suction and discharge valves to ensure free travel and lubricate spindles 2. Check lubrication of shaft bearings 3. Check for even working hours and change over as necessary 4. Check mechanical seals for leakage Monthly Routine work 1.Clean strainers 2.Change bearing oil and / or grease the pump bearing 3.Drain pump casing if applicable During Shut Down Season 1. All pumps and valves to be stripped, inspected all worn parts including Mechanical seal/gland packing to be replaced 2. Inspect shaft and bearing and replace bearing if necessary 3. Check alignment of motor and pump 4. Check motor bearing and replace if necessary, check motor insulation 5. Tighten all bolts 6. Check the strainers 7. Replace rubber bushing 8.
